DeWain Valentine, White Wall

DeWain Valentine is well known for cast-polyester-resin discs that focus his interest on the perception of color and space. White Wall is an acrylic construction in the form of two conjoined double domed discs, tinted black to gray to white. Valentine’s obsession with industrial materials such as fiberglass and resin to explore transient perceptual phenomena led him to became associated with the art movement known as California Light and Space.
