Through literal representations of specific objects and figures, Hammond creates analogies between the complexities of language. Hammond illustrates a word to image association between the viewer and the painting that stimulates new interpretations of meaning. Together each image represents a construction of something new, forced together like experiments or a word puzzle that allude to multiple interpretations that had nothing to do with the original intent.
